"Orson Welles noir movie that was sadly taken away from him and edited into mush. A director's cut has finally been released in 1998 and it is gorgeous and amazing. The 3 minute long opening shot has been imitated in many other movies, but never matched. The black and white film is visually lush and if you can find a way to see it on the big screen, it is definitely worth it."
