"These are boiled dumplings. The ones I grew up eating were filled with meat and came with bacon and sour cream as toppings. They are extremely delicious and there are many other variations on what goes into and onto them ranging from sauerkrat to jalapenos (American version) and more."

"Like I said, I'm part Polish. That's where I get my fair skin that burns oh so easily and the last name ending with '-ski.' I actually don't know too much about Polish culture other than having eaten pierogi growing up. Someday, I hope to go to Poland with my dad to learn a little more."
