Funny Games (2008)

"It's is literally a shot for shot remake of the 1997 Austrian horror film, only with different actors and translated to English. All be honest in saying thought I thought it was kind of stupid at first (most people didn't like it at all). However, once I figured out what it was all about, it quickly became one of my favorite recent horror films."
The Val Lewton Horror Collection
1 recommendation
"Val Lewton was a man placed in the position of B-Movie maker by RKO. But out of his limited budgets and lurid studio-provided titles, he crafted masterpieces of horror and suspense. His atmospheric films are often neglected and rarely talked about and this boxed set includes the best for an incredibly reasonable price. These are truly artistic thrillers all together in one collection for less t..."
Saw Puppet Mask

"YAY SAW! Ok it's a horrifyingly gory and scary movie, but it's so good in those areas, and what a twist! Now you can be just like jigsaw, but please don't play games of life or death."
Ms. Krueger Naughty Nightmare Adult Costume
1 recommendation
"Oh Ms. Krueger, you can haunt my dreams any time you want. Seriously, if you were a guy and woke up with slashes on your back from her... you'd be bragging."

"This movie terrified me as a child. I still get goosebumps but i love every minute of it."
House of Wax (2005)

"House of Wax is actually a really good scary movie and thriller. The best part of it was Paris Hilton's awesome death scene and she goes out quick so you don't have to put up with her for long."
Halloween Unrated Directors Cut

"The early 2000s have seen a string of big-budget remakes of classic horror films. In addition to THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and THE HILLS HAVE EYES, John Carpenter's benchmark slasher flick HALLOWEEN has been given a new-millennial overhaul. At the helm of the project sits rocker Rob Zombie, whose previous films, HOUSE OF 1,000 CORPSES and THE DEVIL'S REJECTS, brought a fan's touch and an auteur'..."
Wait Until Dark

"Take heed of the title and wait to watch this one until it's dark outside, and do it with all the lights out. A thriller about a blind lady, some psycho guys, and a doll full of illegal substances... sounds like the perfect movie for a sleep-over. You know, if I still had sleep-overs..."

"I'm not usually a fan of scary movies, but I love this film. Shyamalan's writing and directing are brilliant. There's not a lot of action, but the dialogue is deep and thought-provoking. And it has one of the most beautiful scenes I've ever witnessed on the screen (I won't give it away, but it's near the end)."

"I only dared to watch this when it was edited for TV but I think I could step up to the theatrical release version. Not ready for the unrated version yet though. From what I saw it was terrifying."

"It'll probably be better to own this classic than rent it since it's popular during this holiday for obvious reasons. Sex, violence, and creative ways to off people."
Charles Burns - Black Hole

"For those who love black and white, dark, romantic, teenage mutant monster films but haven't found one that satisfies (maybe because it only exits in book form). Note to Hollywood, if this book ever becomes a movie, make sure it's animated in the style of Charles Burns."
Seven (1995)

"A superb and chilling thriller about two homicide detectives' desperate hunt for a serial killer who justifies his crimes as absolution for the world's ignorance of the Seven Deadly Sins. The movie takes us from the tortured remains of one victim to the next as the sociopathic "John Doe" sermonizes to Detectives Sommerset and Mills -- one sin at a time. The sin of Gluttony comes first and the murd..."

One Hour Photo (Full Screen Edition)

"Yes! This movie is the go to guide for how to be a Creepy McCreepstein. We all know Robin Williams is a weirdo but he really proves himself this time when he stalks the crap out of this family. This movie was supposed to be scary but I couldn't help laughing the whole time. Now excuse me while I go collect hairs from the shower drain at the YWCA....."
