Med School Homework Stationery by ReduxPapers on Etsy

"Wouldn’t you rather write a letter than do your homework? I remember that feeling. Now instead of doing my taxes or paying bills I’d rather write Tiff or Alicia or MaryBeth or Amber a letter. If you need to still feel like you are doing a bit of homework how about writing a letter on these repurposed medical book pages?"

"The standard for Anatomy and Physiology classes everywhere. It's excellent organization and writing belie the enormous amount of information it holds - essentially, all current knowledge of what are bodies are made up of and how everything under our skin works. Data Flow: Visualising Information in Graphic Design by R. Klanten, N. Bourquin, S. Ehmann, F. van Heerden

"One of the best looking infodesign books of 2008, Data Flow is a clever take on infographics with inspirational exaples and in-depth analysis of current trends. The good thing is stays right in between the coffee table and textbook formats. Since today most design books tend to rely on graphics rather than point of view, this is a really a smart choice for anyone interested in the subject."
A Short Course In Photography

"If you're taking a class, obviously you need a textbook. This is the required book for the course I'm taking. It's fantastic. There are illustrated diagrams which help in learning the parts and showing what's what. It's also very clearly articulated how you do something, how to set up a shot, how to mix developer---it's very straight to the point."
Biology: A Textbook

"I wouldn't normally recommend an academic textbook. But when a book is this well presented, I can't pass it up. Biology is the study of life, and how we (and our animal friends) work is simply fascinating. This book gets an A+ from me for its easy, non-technical language and wonderfully informative illustrations. The included CD and website provide incredible animations that really let you see how..."
Cinematic Storytelling

"I was required to pick up this book for class and I still have it. It's so useful for both filmmakers and photographers and covers topics such as how to achieve different moods using different lighting techniques, framing, costumes, props, and more. Best of all, it's simple to read."
Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse
1 recommendation
"Siddhartha is a shimmering, indescent tale of spirtual quest. It is Nobel Prize-winner Hermann Hesse's most famous and influential work. So says the back cover lol. But its a great book, and a great summer quick read."
Mac OS X Leopard: The Missing Manual
1 recommendation
"With Leopard, Apple has unleashed the greatest version of Mac OS X yet, and David Pogue is back with another meticulous Missing Manual to cover the operating system with a wealth of detail. The new Mac OS X 10.5, better known as Leopard, is faster than its predecessors, but nothing's too fast for Pogue and this Missing Manual. It's just one of reasons this is the most popular computer book of all ..."
