"2003 is a killer year for CdP and the Vieux Telegraph is one of my favorites. It's big and backward and will age for a while, but it drinks pretty damn nice right now if you like huge Rhone wines. WS had it at #53. I bought it up at $36.95, but the prices are rising."

"The 2003 Sonoma Coast Pinot was #11 on the list and has capped off Kosta Browne's rise to cult status for California Pinot. You will have to try the 2004, since the 2003 has been blown out. For that matter, try any of this winemaker's Pinot's that you can find, they are awesome."

"I love Chateauneuf du Pape (CdP for the wine geeks). 2003 was a tremendous vintage that is mostly backward and big and will age for a while. Clos des Papes made a great one. Buy it up if you can find it, but WS's recognition as the #3 wine of the year has driven the price way up."
