My Bodum French Press is amazing, and I love to use it every morning. I had no idea it could get better. But leave it to them to improve their classic press. This one has double walled stainless steel insulation, so it keeps your freshly pressed coffee hot for up to 2 hours. I do have to say that my coffee HAS to be steaming hot for me to enjoy it. So this would help me out a lot! And if you haven't tried French Pressed coffee yet, you're in for a very pleasant surprise.

Why do you need a French Press? I'll tell you later, first lets talk about how absolutely stunning this one is. Its from Bodum so you know its rocks. This beautifully crafted french press is made out of glistening seamless stainless steel. The gentle curves and smooth handle make it a joy to handle. The top of the plunger is decorated with a kind of whimsical 'fob' that adds a bit of humor. Its a striking piece of metal with a place in your kitchen. Now for why you need one... If you truly enjoy coffee - I mean, REALLY enjoy it, you need to kick that old drip machine into the waste bin and pick up a French Press. Coffee comes from a bean (or a pit of a coffee cherry). Contained within each bean is a little bit of oil that is essential to the flavor of coffee. When you use a typical drip brewer, the filter is usually made of paper and it absorbs much of this oil. Also, since the water is 'strained' through the grounds, the coffee doesn't have a chance to truly interact with the water. A French Press solves these issues. It consists of a container (in this case its a stainless steel pitcher) and a stainless screen attached to a rod. You first place the coffee grounds at the bottom of the pitcher. Then you pour hot filtered water over the grounds, stir and let them play for 4 minutes. The grounds are fully immersed in hot water for much longer. This allows them to impart their true flavor into the water. Once 4 minutes are up, you plunge the rod toward the bottom pushing all the grounds to the base. As this happens, all the water has a second chance to pass through the beans and collect more flavor. From this point you pour and enjoy a richer and more full bodied coffee. The French Press method is the preferred way to taste-test coffee and is the closest to the way coffee merchants test the crops when they visit their suppliers.

Everyone knows that I am straight-up evil until I have my morning coffee. And I need it strong -- like jet fuel, only tangier. The Bodum Chambord makes it just how I like it. The wait time and subsequent plunge calm my frayed, undercaffeinated nerves, and it's a 3.5 cup max, so I don't OD and freak out. Ah, l'amour.

When it comes to taste, there are very few things that people agree upon. I think, however, that Iâve found one: brewing coffee in a French Press. Starbucks, in their Coffee Passport booklet given to new employees, calls the coffee press (French Press) âthe best brewing method for enjoying a coffeeâs true, full flavor.â It is quick, simple and, as illy caffee, the Italian coffee producer says, yields âa deeply satisfying coffee that is rich, robust and aromatic.â Making coffee in a French Press is simplicity itself: medium to coarsely ground coffee is placed in a cylinder, hot water is poured into the cylinder and a plunger separates the coffee from the grounds. Done.

This is the greatest. I always make my coffee in a french press at home and now I can make GREAT coffee anywhere, on the go! You just pour hot water over coffee grounds (or loose leaf tea), let steep, push stopper down and enjoy the best brew around. No need to pour into a separate container, you can drink right from the pot.

Tired of the bad coffee at the office? Or simply don't feel like brewing a whole pot? Coffee for One, complete with a French coffee press and mug, is perfect for brewing just one fresh cup of coffee or tea at a time. The simple functional design gives you an easy way of making great tasting coffee or tea at anywhere you have access to hot water but not to quality joe, i.e., the office, a camping trip, or a boyfriend's bachelor pad. Not only is it convenient, but the French press tends to capture more of the coffee's rich flavor that often gets filtered out in machine-brewed java. Coffee for One brews up to 14 ounces of your favorite bean at a time and is dishwasher safe. Available in four cool colors

Everybody should know that I love French Press Coffee. It really does taste better. However, it is a little involved to boil the water and then pour it into the French Press. This electric french press solves my lazy problem, though. It boils the water for you! Just add coffee, water, and let steep. Then lift from it's base for cordless and easy serving. Can also be used for looseleaf tea!
