I generally think that blatantly displaying your dvd selection is callow and unattractive. However, if you're inclined to do so, something like this might lessen silliness of doing so.

I am very happy with what I received! I bought 2 and will definitely be purchasing another one soon! The quality seems to be excellent and looks like it could even endure my toddler's use if she gets a hold of it. I purchased the slide and lock pages and they are very smooth, easy to use, and secure. I also purchased the d3i pages to go along with it and those are of the same quality. Without the dvds the case is very light. Most of our dvds are the used ones from Blockbuster or Hollywood Video so we don't miss the original cases at all. It's great that no matter where we go or how our decor changes, our dvd holder never will need to change. Plus it's much nicer browsing for a movie when you can see the full cover instead of just the skinny side. The only reason I give it a 9.5 instead of a 10 is because I like to keep my dvds in alphabetical order and since it's not the usual binder I will have to do some 'slippin' and 'slidin' to keep it in order. But all of the pros DEFINITELY out weigh that one con. Plus there is nice pocket in the front that you can keep newly bought dvds in until you get a chance to put it in order. This product combines practicality and style wonderfully. The smooth zipper, the label you can put on the outside, and the smooth black velvet lining all add to the quality. The details were taken care of for sure! This is one of those purchases that I KNOW I got my money's worth and will continue to get great use out of it.

It may not be the best looking backpack of all time (best in black, I think), but the combination of the 18 organizational pockets (many of them labeled for specific items like USB cables and MP3 players); the removable CD/DVD holder and earphone pass-through; the large, padded and ventilated laptop pocket; and the unique pass-through for power bricks to allow device recharging in situ; make this the best laptop backpack I've ever run across. If it had (in addition to the provided sternum strap) a padded, stowaway hip belt to help balance the considerable load when full (nearly 3100 cu. in.!) and was made of heavier "ballistic" grade (higher denier) material, it would be just about perfect. As it is, it's still a great value at $65 or less.

You know Built NY - they make those awesome wine bottle holders that the cool kids bring with them to parties w/ wine as gifts (you can find these on ThisNext, of course.) Well now they make a new thing called "electric pockets" that are meant for holding cameras, mobile phones, iPods, etc. I use mine (the stripey "#8") for my camera and it works great. Padded, protected, stylish, useful, colorful, I could go on. Throw away whatever you're keeping your digital camera in and pick up one of these!

I like these slimmer, sturdier, more flexible CD/DVD cases better than the standard hard plastic jewel cases. Prices vary widely, so shop around. You should be able to get them for less than $0.25 each, especially if you're willing to buy the 200 pack.

I've been a TiVo fan/evangelist since 1999 when I bought my first original style TiVo. It's impossible to watch TV programs without it. You've heard all the reasons and you know you're going to get one eventually. If you haven't already bought your TiVo, consider a series 2 TiVo made by Humax. It has a built in DVD player which is nice (fewer remote controls, video input flipping) but the best feature is... It burns DVDs. You not only have the ability to record your favorite shows and movies and watch them later on TiVo, you can also save them to DVD which makes them much more permanent and portable. The DVDs can be viewed on any standard DVD player. Now go get your TiVo. It's waiting for you.

Offering lighting that is entirely designed and made in America is a matter of pride to Brian Faherty, head of Schoolhouse Electric Company. The company manufactures vintage schoolhouse-style fixtures, so named because they were widely used in schools and libraries from 1900 to 1950. Faherty, a realtor specializing in historic properties, says he loves once-again fashionable schoolhouse lighting because "it isn’t overly ornate, is extremely flexible and provides really good light." The line is sold in two stores, in Portland, Oregon, and New York City. A catalog is also available.

Urban Electric Co., with its suave logo, theatrical windows and polished manner of displaying wares in a spacious showroom, sends a clear message that history can be a helpmate rather than a handcuff. Historically inspired lamps, sconces and chandeliers by creative director Michael Amato and designers Amelia Handegan, Mark Maresca and Justin Walling suit a contemporary loft in Tribeca every bit as much as a Charleston single house. Every fixture, including copper lanterns by master craftsman John Gantt, is handmade locally.
