I've been looking for a knitting/crochet pattern for felt balls since I saw these super cute Japanese felt ball necklaces being worn in jdramas and mags. This etsy seller offered free shipping which I couldn't refuse, plus it is way easier to buy them already felted and in assorted colors than to try to buy all of that yarn and spend the time felting them just right. Now all I have to do is string them and possibly adorn them with mini embellishments like embroidery!

I'd been eyeing this cushy felted wool shag rug from West Elm for some time now and finally went ahead and bought one (ivory 5x8). I'm so excited since I believe it's one of those rugs that will compliment any room no matter what you're furniture is like. I have heard that felted shag rugs tend to shed (even the crate and barrel version), but through some interweb searching, a simple pet hair brush can cure it.
