Shirts, pants, shoes, belts, ties, etc use to be eaten by my closet. Fortunately a friend introduced me to this storage system found at Ikea. The storage system by Stolmen tamed this monster I called my closet. What is nice about this system is how it is easy to integrate into your room as long as you take the time to take proper dimensions. Everything is adjustable so you can easily move it with you. But honestly the nice thing about it is how you will no longer being wasting money by repurchasing the same clothing because you keep losing them in your closet! The storage system by Stolmen organized your crap. So if you want to take control of your closet versus it owning you, then this system is well worth your $$$.

Sweden’s big box giant, the mighty Ikea, set the bar for mass market home furnishings and continues to raise it. The chain’s stores currently include the welcoming Gottfrid side chair with its main parts made from solid Beech, "not from intact forests."

Great design and great for keeping my collection of interior design samples organized – the Lekman boxes fit the shelves perfectly – and until I get the time to design built-in storage this is a great solution.

I love IKEA! And how they consistently bring great design to the masses (who are within driving distance of their mega stores). What I also love about them is that sometimes they come up with something absolutely marvelous. This time, I'm talking about their series of vases designed by Hella Jongerius. Each has a different and more interesting motif, making it easy to find one to compliment your decor. The different styles actually represent different glazing techniques and materials. They are large and beautiful enough to stand on their own merits but can be part of a more elaborate composition if you wish. Though the price is a little bit high for IKEA, $39.99 is a steal for such a beautiful piece of art, especially one that doesn’t actually scream IKEA. The only thing I could hope for is a smaller version for those whose space cant accommodate a large statement piece like this.

Shopping for a mattress feels like an exercise in racketeering. I don't know why, but the mattress market is full of shady sales people and dodgy stores who seem intent on preventing you from making an informed, comparative, rational decision. Skip all the hassle and just go to Ikea. The Sultan spring mattress is reasonably priced and is the most comfortable bed I've ever had.

100 tealight candles for $2.99!!!!!!!!!! You literally can burn with abandon - and still have candles left over. I cannot imagine life before the giant bags of Ikea tealights. If you're buying your tealights anywhere else, I'm very sorry, but you're paying way too much money.

ikea has a knack of coming up with stuff you never knew you needed. like this pet food storage bag. made tough with a zippered lid so you can easily scoop out the chow. at only $3.99, i can think of lots of uses for it besides pet food, ie stuff for recycling, without it becoming an uncomingly pile.

*sigh* Oh Ikea... This is so not available online and the store opening up close to me is not due for another year or so, but I still sweat this sofa bed anyway. Futons are just so "I'm Still In College" whereas an actual sofabed says "I'm Somewhat More Mature With Friends Who Come to Visit." Which is exactly what this sofabed says about me.

I remember going to the theater to see "The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension" with my brother. We had to clear out of the house for some reason. I don't remember why. We figured we see a movie (neither of us could drink... at least not legally in bars). "Buckaroo Banzai"was playing. We knew nothing about it. In fact, we almost walked out of it. We probably stayed because we had nothing better to do. When we realized that it was a satire and not taking itself seriously, we realized that it was hilarious. "Buckaroo Banzai" is a must see movie. How can it not be with a rockstar, doctor, physicist, and whatever else it is that he is good at. Don't you want to be Buckaroo Banzai "Big BootAY you idiot!"

Oh, you know I am gonna recommend this. The great thing about being a board game geek (I think I am almost there) is that you have to play with SOMEONE, so at least you're not alone in your geekiness. Pentago comes from Sweden, land of the Vikings, Ikea and blonde supermodels (in that order, roughly). It's a simple 5 (not 4) in a row wins game, but with a twist. After you place your marble down (anywhere), you must rotate one of the 4 wooden board pieces 90 degrees. Those are practically all the rules. This adds an entirely new level to the gameplay, as you have to start thinking in multiple dimensions. Defeat or victory can come from nowhere, with the simple twist of the wrist. However, you DON"T have to be a smartie to play, just someone willing to think a bit. A great game that is easy to learn (my #1 rule) and nicely made (nice wood, aluminum pieces; my #3 I think). Gameplay usually only takes 5-15 minutes (# 2), but if you're both good, it can go up to 30 or so.
