Tiki Tour of New Zealand Stamps

Recommendation:

Having been lucky enough to visit New Zealand for 9 days back in 2003, seeing this beautifully designed collection of stamps took me back to many of the incredible spots we saw. As the website explains... "In other countries they might call it the âroundabout wayâ to get somewhere. Or the âscenic routeâ. But in New Zealand itâs a âTiki tourâ, and itâs the only way to go. It involves getting from A to B via L&P®. Your classic Tiki tour is all about enjoying the journey as much as the destination, and checking out as many 'choice' national icons as you can along the way." I think they're so well done that I've already gone and ordered my set... 24 individual stamps of various locales from both the North and South islands. As an added bonus each book of stamps comes with an A1 size poster of the stamp sheet! Visit the New Zealand Post website to get yours.

Lucky Beer
Shop for it at:
Recommendation:

I found this fantastic looking australian beer brand a while ago, but recently posted it to notcot.org. Jean from notcot was so excited by the little green glass buddha that she contacted the company directly and is getting free samples sent to LA (score!). Since I'm not much of a beer drinker, you'll have to rely on someone else to give a report on the taste, but the design of the bottle is fantastic, and can be re-used in many different ways. As far as I know Lucky Beer is only available in Australia for now.

What can I say about these jeans (my picks; Fender & Bootleg 182), they are super comfortable, no fancy Jordache style embroidery on the pockets or Sean Jean embroidery down the side of the leg. The bootleg cut jeans are perfect for my huge feet (you know what they say, the bigger the foot... the bigger the shoe). Ohhh and they have a nifty little patch on the inside of the zipper that says "Lucky You". I could actually do with out the expensive jeans, but the money is well spent on these puppies. After getting dressed, when my girlfriend notices the "Fender" jeans, well let's just say Tag or Axe body sprays have nothing on the Fenders.

"These lucky cat figures are so cute it makes Hello Kitty look like crap," says Giant Robot. These little kitties also wave their paws and wobble their heads back and forth. But the best thing about them? They're SOLAR POWERED.

This red rubber stamp of the Shakespeare Heroine Ophelia, from Hamlet, is timeless. When stamped with an inkpad on paper she makes an instantly lovely card. Mounted on wood for easy use. Great for thank you notes, holiday cards and anything you can think to put your mark on. The simple act of stamping onto paper is relaxing and allows you to be creative even if you don't have a creative bone in your body! A reasonably priced gift, stocking stuffer or hobby starter for yourself or another.

The Lost Art of Towel Origami
Recommendation:
-
You'll never fold a towel the same old way again. Make a guest bath special with towel origami-the art of folding fabrics into cool shapes and creatures. Crease and crinkle ordinary towels to create an elephant, monkey, ladybug, palm tree, lotus flower, spinning windmill, skyscraper, and more. Very creative - actually genial idea...
