Hike into the backcountry and sleep comfortably in the North Face Tephra 22 Tent. This two-person, three season tent's lightweight and bomber design makes it ideal for extended trips on foot. The Tephra is simple. It requires no engineering degree—the Tephra 22 has continuous sleeves and a color-coded canopy and flysheet to make assembly a cinch. Its internal prayer-bound floor seams ensure you won't spring a leak during a summer deluge and like all of North Face tents, it can be coupled with a footprint (sold separately) for fly-only pitching. The Tephra's see-through mesh canopy affords great ventilation.

The North Face Pamir Windstopper Gloves are awesome. I have been a big fan of Windstopper materials for years- the fabric really does work to cut out windchill. It is tough too: it does not rip or melt too easily and the gloves themselves never seem to fall apart, no matter how much I brutalize them (w/in reason, of course, but, generally speaking, I am very hard on my gear) The main reason I have to replace the Windstopper gloves is usually because I lose one of them :-( In any event, if you want some durable, comfortable, bomber gloves for campling, etc that are supple enough so you can still do relatively delicate things w/them on, get the Pamirs or any of The North Face Windstoppers. Essential for climbing trips and surfaris to non-tropical climates

Fantastic collaboration jackets by Supreme NYC and The North Face. They created 2 versions of the famous summit jacket for the Surpeme Spring collection. Look out for this one, as they both feature animal linings (zebra and leopard) inside. Crazy stuff!

As a family we go on many hikes in the area, Mt.Tam is a favorite as is China camp and Golden Gate park. We have our North Face backpack with us (the Kletter) since it carries all the gear needed with kids, ie. diapers, wipes, juice, change of clothes and snacks. We will also have our Kelty backpack to carry one of the boys, just in case the terrain get’s too steep for the little one.

I gave up on my DJ bag style bag. I loved how it looked but hated the back pain that resulted from me carrying too much stuff. I also love my new backpack. I fill it up with heavy things and put it on my back and it feels like there's almost nothing in it. It has a pocket for my laptop and this pouch that fits my umbrella perfectly. I know that adults carrying backpacks look goofy, but you know what, you look pretty goofy with the back pain.

As fugly as they may be, these are some of the most comfortable shoes I wear. I wear them out, to the gym, ont he trails, and watching football! I love their comfort and while The North Face tend to run a tad on the smaller side, I prefer my shoes be a bit more snug for running otherwise I get nasty blisters.

Adventures are, almost always, planned around when it's time to sleep. So, it's really important that you can actually sleep and freezing half to death wont be very restful. So, that's what I recommend this North Face bag. The hooded sleeping bag is always a plus, but the ability of this bag to maintain warm temperatures in bellow freezing weather is nothing short os spectacular.

Don't worry, regular pants and your favorite jeans will survive for eons, but the future is uncompromising in it's demands: Monotone color schemes. Form fitting cuts. Synthetic materials. And LOTS of Zippers. The North Face Paramount Utility pant has all of these. It's like a sleeker ski/snowboard pant without the bulk and more like something you could wear all day. 3 recessed zipper pockets and a discreet logo round out the look. Only $55.
