It's a watch. No it's a cuff. No it's a statment. Really, it's all three and I like it. I guess you could say this is a ThisNext exclusive since no one has heard of the NOW watch, yet. Morgan, the designer, wears it very well but I was a touch skeptical as to how it would look on a female arm so we put it on Fashion Kitty. The response was, and I quote, "Bomb Ass." I agree. As David Lynch often says "The world is as you are," and as someone who is constantly on the go and always looking ahead at what's coming it's an excellent reminder to stop myself and be present. Rumor has it other styles will be offered but for NOW, pick up one of these. We all know someone who could benefit from the message.

How did I ever live without my DVR??? I LOVE IT! If I am in the middle of finishing work and can't watch "Grey's Anatomy" or "Nip/Tuck" I don't have to worry. With the Dish Network DVR, I can start the show when the time is right for me to unwind. I can now watch Jack Bauer whenever the time is right or my favorite Hero.

My favorite part about this game is making my own dream house and fitting it with all the luxurious amenities. Its also fun trying to reconstruct a house you see on MTV Cribs. As far as the rest, it gets a little repetitive after a while, but still a great game

Let's face it -- you need a watch. Not a disposable Swatch, but a watch. A machine with a real mechanical movement that can be a lasting talisman of your style. It's gonna cost you, because this is for more than time and you won't be using a battery. It is for craft, precision, expression and permanent value. So instead of buying 20 dreary throwaway watches over the next few years, save up for one. It's a start and there's no better way than to start with this one: The Mazzuoli Manometro. Simple, Italian, unusual, precise, weighty and loaded with taste. The designer, Guiliano Mazzuoli, has designed paper, notebooks, pens and now a watch. Just one for now, this one, inspired by the simple and readable classic pressure gauges found in garages and workshops. The defining style of the Manometro is now available in several variants beyond the dial color choices of the the original: Manometro Chronograph, Manometro Limited Edition with date and bronzed titanium brushed case, and Manometro Sport in black carbon fiber case and dial with titanium back and crown. Whichever version you prefer, you'll get one perfect object absent anything superfluous. Mazzuoli selected a proven Swiss automatic movement with Incablock anti-shock. The leather strap is novel in its screwed-in attachment to the case, incredibly durable, and interchangeable. You can have the basic Manometro in a polished or satin finish steel case. Your dial can be cream, white, black, or blue. Your strap can be tan, brown, black, navy or wine-red. A right-wrist version for lefties places the crown on the left side of the case, at 10 o'clock. Mine is polished, classic cream face, tan leather strap, standard 2 o'clock crown. The chronograph is polished steel only, in black or cream dial and black or brown lizard strap. You can only buy this watch from a handful of dealers, listed on the Mazzuoli web site. It's a large diameter watch but still fits under a shirtsleeve and it definitely cuts through the blingy chronos, loud Rolex golds and multi-button wonders so common in every crowd of strivers. Your kids will be fighting over who gets this one 60 years on.

The dress watch. People see it before your clothes. Generic is unacceptable. A social lubricant and a quiet communicator of your seriousness and taste, the Jaeger Reverso's timeless Deco craft will be a lifetime source of pleasure to own and use. Jaeger developed and released the Reverso in 1931 in response to complaints of shattered watch crystals by British and Indian polo players in India. The classic and original Reverso is a single-face mechanical, hand-wound watch that flips 180 degrees in its half-shell to shelter its crystal and put its metal back to the hazards of play. Consider that blank rectangle of polished metal a canvas for the engraver's or enamellor's art. Reversos can do double duty as sport watches (of course! inspired by polo) and dress watches. And now they come in a variety of metals, trim, sizes and styles, from the trim 19mm wide ladies' version, and tidy 26mm original, to newer chunkier iterations pushing 30 mm wide. If you can only have one, consider the Duo -- two different watch faces able to track two different time zones, running off one movement. When I was a kid beginning to read the New Yorker at 8 years old, the Reverso ads capitvated me. I thought it was the coolest watch ever, and vowed to buy one. A few decades of more urgent expenses intervened, but I finally got my Reverso Duo about 30 years after my first pangs for it. This is a watch that hit the market during a dark time, and eventually better conditions prevailed. Owning one is a reminder the same thing will be true again.

Pre-Castro, Cuervo y Sobrinos was a Havana watchmaker of considerable renown. Now CyS is located in Europe and crafting Swiss automatic movement watches that also resurrect many of the expressive mid-20th-century Caribe-Latin tropical case shapes and dials that evoke a more elegant and understanding era. Put a Cuervo watch on your wrist and feel your heart rate slow, your stress level drop, and your euphoria level climb every time you check the hour. The case shapes are decidedly vintage but updated to the newer large sizes of contemporary timepieces. Project a higher sense of style than the generic status brands, keeping the quality but eschewing the lack of imagination. Look at this watch -- now THAT's a watch face! The Cuervo y Sobrinos web site shows the full spectrum of lazy Cohiba style they offer. My favorite is this Torpedo Pulsometro Chronograph in stainless steel. Your dial can be black & white, all black, 2-tone cream, or my favorite, black & cream. Your watch is often noticed before you're within speaking distance, so make a careful choice that telegraphs your taste and imagination. THIS is a careful choice for an independent-minded man.

THE TIME IS NOW. With Reveal, time is always in the present. This timekeeper reveals the current time through a looking glass while fading the past and the future. If you are a person of the present, this watch is made specifically for you. MoMA says, "Truly unique in its display of time, the minutes and hours fade in and out as time passes. Part of the Projects series, where architects and designers are commissioned to craft timepieces, Reveal is the work of computer graphics pioneer Daniel Will-Harris. The only analog watch to read in a digital manner, it features a soft leather strap and a stainless steel case. A pamphlet inside gives a biography of the designer and his inspiration behind the piece."
