This book is insanely useful for anyone - tourist or local. With maps of each neighborhood broken down by essentials, sundries/entertainment and transportation, I use it for everything from finding the nearest Citibank to giving friends directions to my picnic spot in Central Park to figuring out just what the current colors on the Empire State Building mean. I'd love it if the sections dedicated to the outer boroughs were equally thorough (even the NFTs dedicated solely to those boroughs pale in comparison), but you can't have it all.

It was very clear that back in the day Keiko Fukuzaki could really work a piece of cloth. This was before she moved to New York and became the reigning Queen of Bathing suit design. But back then she whipped up radical collections of beautifully inventive cocktail dresses and pantsuits and outfits to cruise around the Starlight Roller dome in L.A. I still own some of those pieces and they HAVE held up! Now she devotes that talent to making anyBODY look hot in the sand!

The circular Mets logo has gone virtually unchanged throughout the history of the club. The shape of the insignia, with its orange stitching, represents a baseball, and the bridge in the foreground symbolizes that the Mets, in bringing back the National League to New York, represent all five boroughs. It’s not just a skyline in the background, but has a special meaning. At the left is a church spire, symbolic of Brooklyn, the borough of churches. The second building from the left is the Williamsburg Savings Bank, the tallest building in Brooklyn. Next is the Woolworth Building. After a general skyline view of midtown comes the Empire State Building. At the far right is the United Nations Building. The Mets’ colors are Dodger blue and Giant orange, symbolic of the return of National League baseball to New York after the Dodgers and Giants moved to California. - Approximately 3/4" x 3/4" - Enamel and gold plated - Bullet back closure

My family grew up loving Elvis and I have a love for B&W Photography. I was standing at Borders Christmas shopping and was overwhelmed and hypnotized by this book. The photographs are of Elvis at a very young age. An age when he even seemed unaware of might just be happening to him. There are scenes of him in a new house but still surrounded by family. These are touching photographs of a man we no longer see in references.

For natives, transplants or admireres of New York. This simple ceramic cup captures the essence of a ubiquitous item familiar to virtually all Gotham dwellers. This Iconic "We Are Happy To Serve You" paper cup design has been around since the sixties and hundreds of millions have been used every year. Rendered in a more permanent material, these cups are smart and a little ironic. For anyone who had one of these on the street, it takes a while to get used to how real this one feels. Microwave and dishwasher safe... what else would you expect from a tough city like New York?
