I can't believe IKEA has cast iron pans for $9.99! Cast iron is the BEST option. Those nonstick frying pans (Teflon and the like) are so bad for you - the offgas nasty plastic chemicals into everything you cook in them. And, once scratched, the aluminum underneath gets into your food which is toxic, as well. Cooking with cast iron, however, nixes any chance of toxicity and even adds a little bit of iron to your food. Even heating, as well. Go get one!

It's a small fry pan, just right for Airstream Hal. It might be useful for you if you often cook for one or two. The lid knob turns to open and close a vent. O would feel (if it had emotions) very safe inside this heavy skillet as long as as the stove was off!

I only eat breakfast on the weekends, and it is a very large breakfast; five slices of bacon, two potatoes, three sausage patties, two slices of toast, and three eggs. That used to cause quite a mess in the kitchen, requiring at least two of three frying pans on the stove simultaneously. But now it all fits together in this one pan. As a result, food cooks more evenly, it's easier to work inside the pan to flip the eggs, and clean up is simple. The pan is non-stick as advertised, reasonably weighted, and carries commercial grade durability. A must have in a MAN'S kitchen.
