My mom, sister, and I make a couple pumpkin pies each Thanksgiving and Christmas, and we always use these mini cutters to make the pie crust look stunning. Just set aside some pie crust dough when you're making the crusts. Then, cut out these tiny shapes from the leftovers, and glue (with water) them onto the crust. They get golden brown around the edges and are a really nice finishing touch. We even draw in the leaf details, too!

This crust cutter is beautiful. In one swift motion you can cut all of your crusts off, leaving you feeling like a five year old eating her bagged lunch in kindergarten. Heaven, if you ask me. Also folds flat for easy storage, and dishwasher safe.

Simple Quiche: Whole Foods Market Frozen Pie Crusts

There are several techniques in cooking that I call foundation cooking. One of those is the quiche. There is nothing complicated or difficult about making a quiche. Except maybe making the crust! Hereâs my foolproof piecrust recipe: Go to Whole Foods Market and buy their really delicious (made with good ingredients) frozen piecrusts. You just fill the crust (still frozen) and pop it in the oven. The crustâs flaky, tender, and tasty. Now weâve got the crust out of the way, it's time to move on to the filling!

Merry Christmas Decor has a recipe for holiday eggnog pie that sounds a little strange, but delicious! I haven't made it yet, but it seems super easy - the main ingredients are a ready-made pie crust, egg nog, and vanilla pudding...but you could definitely make your own crust if you have the time/skills (I don't!). This site sells just about everything you need for Christmas, as well as offers helpful gift ideas and decorating tips.

This is the coolest rolling pin. I will never have problems with my sugar cookies, pie crust, and rolled fondant again!!! I did use it for my sugar cookies, and it was amazing. I love the control you have with it instead of the old marble one that I will now be finding a new home for.

Tidman's Natural Rock Salt from The Meadow
Shop for it at:
Recommendation:

Tidmanâs is a sublimely cloudy-white sea salt named for the âtide menâ who made their living from the shore. Itâs strangely variegated crystal blocks have a succulent, buttery-creamy flavor with a distinct sweetness in the finish. Tidmanâs jaunty crunch makes it perfect for cherry pie crusts, pizza crusts, bagels, pretzels, and breads. Tidmanâs buttery sweetness really shines forth on meats, and it has a growing contingent of fans among prime rib fanatics. This is also one of our favorite salts for use in a salt-mill.
