It's a watch. No it's a cuff. No it's a statment. Really, it's all three and I like it. I guess you could say this is a ThisNext exclusive since no one has heard of the NOW watch, yet. Morgan, the designer, wears it very well but I was a touch skeptical as to how it would look on a female arm so we put it on Fashion Kitty. The response was, and I quote, "Bomb Ass." I agree. As David Lynch often says "The world is as you are," and as someone who is constantly on the go and always looking ahead at what's coming it's an excellent reminder to stop myself and be present. Rumor has it other styles will be offered but for NOW, pick up one of these. We all know someone who could benefit from the message.

The theory of relativity from Albert Einstein was one of the most memorable ones left behind by this great scientist and mathematician, and in honor of his theory, the Relativity Watch was invented. No, it won't be able to send you back in time to right those wrongs you have accumulated over the years, but what it does is tell the time in a very different manner. Instead of having the hour and hand needles move, the Relativity Watch does the opposite and moves the numbers to match the hands instead. Each $29.99 purchase comes in an attractive gift box and features a genuine leather band in addition to accurate Japanese quartz movement. I must admit while this is a cute idea, there really isn't any point reinventing the wheel as you can't tell the time any better than how we do it now - regardless of whether it is digital or analog. Just don't mess with the way the hands

Mr. Jones Watches aim to replace the now redundant functionality of the watch with a playful new purpose- and they succeed brilliantly. Difficult decisions bogging you down? Simply glance down at the face of "The Decider" to find "yes" or "no" displayed depending upon what the second is. Seeking balance in your life? "The Mantra" alternates positive sayings such as "you're blessed" with negative aspersions. And if, at any moment, you should fail to hear "time's winged chariot drawing near" a look at "The Accurate" will remind to seize the moment. Other models were also offered as limited editions- unfortunately they are all sold out.

The Nixon Tribella watch has been on the market for ages- I managed to scoop mine up about this time last year- and for good reason! I love everything about its design: the triangular shape, the bangle aesthetic, and the seemingly endless amount of cool colours it keeps being released in: mint green, turquoise, and now- TRANSPARENT COLOURS! Yep, I'm pretty much whooping with joy as my favourite plastic colour gets a see-through make-over. This clear pink is gorgeous, but also be on the look out for clear lime, and just plain clear! Sure, they might be a little harder to make out than their opaque counterparts, but they're sure to garner plenty of attention on your wrist!

The dress watch. People see it before your clothes. Generic is unacceptable. A social lubricant and a quiet communicator of your seriousness and taste, the Jaeger Reverso's timeless Deco craft will be a lifetime source of pleasure to own and use. Jaeger developed and released the Reverso in 1931 in response to complaints of shattered watch crystals by British and Indian polo players in India. The classic and original Reverso is a single-face mechanical, hand-wound watch that flips 180 degrees in its half-shell to shelter its crystal and put its metal back to the hazards of play. Consider that blank rectangle of polished metal a canvas for the engraver's or enamellor's art. Reversos can do double duty as sport watches (of course! inspired by polo) and dress watches. And now they come in a variety of metals, trim, sizes and styles, from the trim 19mm wide ladies' version, and tidy 26mm original, to newer chunkier iterations pushing 30 mm wide. If you can only have one, consider the Duo -- two different watch faces able to track two different time zones, running off one movement. When I was a kid beginning to read the New Yorker at 8 years old, the Reverso ads capitvated me. I thought it was the coolest watch ever, and vowed to buy one. A few decades of more urgent expenses intervened, but I finally got my Reverso Duo about 30 years after my first pangs for it. This is a watch that hit the market during a dark time, and eventually better conditions prevailed. Owning one is a reminder the same thing will be true again.

THE TIME IS NOW. With Reveal, time is always in the present. This timekeeper reveals the current time through a looking glass while fading the past and the future. If you are a person of the present, this watch is made specifically for you. MoMA says, "Truly unique in its display of time, the minutes and hours fade in and out as time passes. Part of the Projects series, where architects and designers are commissioned to craft timepieces, Reveal is the work of computer graphics pioneer Daniel Will-Harris. The only analog watch to read in a digital manner, it features a soft leather strap and a stainless steel case. A pamphlet inside gives a biography of the designer and his inspiration behind the piece."
