      A visit to the Ball and Ball showroom in Exton, PA is like a visit to a house museum. Before 1700, Ball family members fabricated armor for the British crown; the current company, founded in 1932, specializes in hand-forged metalwork for the period home. Using 18th-century techniques, Ball and Ball turns out brass and iron chandeliers, tin sconces, copper lanterns, adjustable candle stands and more. Some designs are careful reproductions; others the company owns. (Custom work welcome.)
